The Story

Rebecca Hollander Events was entrusted with coordinating the grand opening gala for the David S. Mack Center for Training & Intelligence in the fall of 2021. This milestone marked the culmination of fifteen years of dedication by the NCPD Foundation, which raised over $12 million to complete the Center and establish the state-of-the-art Training Village.

Our Role

We curated a lavish cocktail hour in the entranceway, featuring a meet-and-greet with elected officials, and transformed the gym into an elegant dinner venue. We oversaw every detail—catering, décor, production, run of show, photography, and coordination with distinguished guests.

The Impact

What began as a 250-guest dinner grew into a sold-out celebration with 520 attendees. The evening opened with a powerful performance by the Nassau County Pipe and Drum Band and concluded with over $1 million raised, underscoring the event’s resounding success.

Building on that momentum, RHE produced a second dinner in 2023 and the grand opening of the Training Village in 2025. Each event exceeded fundraising expectations, with the 2025 dinner also raising more than $1 million.
