Founder
Rebecca Hollander
Rebecca Hollander is a creator, connector, and world traveler with over 22 years of experience in special events, marketing, community relations, and philanthropy.
Her passion for bold, purpose-driven events began at Tulane University, where she famously brought an elephant to a campus fundraiser for the Audubon Zoo. The Dean approved the event, never imagining an elephant would actually walk down McAlister Drive. After that, he reviewed her event applications much more carefully.
After graduating, Rebecca returned to Long Island and became Marketing Director for Americana Manhasset. In that role, she led event-centered brand strategies for luxury icons such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, DIOR, and Hermes. She founded the Americana Manhasset Concours d'Elegance in partnership with Porsche and Maserati, and spearheaded Champions for Charity®, a multi-day fundraising event that has raised over $13 million for nonprofit organizations.
Vice President, Philanthropy
Susan Gomberg
A born fundraiser, I began my career at age 8 by organizing Carnivals for Muscular Dystrophy in my neighborhood. I then went on to market causes in areas as diverse as funding for education, farm workers, and women's equality.
Professionally, I bring over 20 years of non-profit professional and volunteer fundraising experience in healthcare, the arts, and education. For the past 20+ years, I have been the director of Fundraising Campaigns and Volunteer Engagement for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, raising over $20 MM through special events, individual giving, and grant writing.
I am proud to have established the Foundation's first major gifts program and have played a key role in strategic board development.
Prior to joining the CCF, I had both volunteer and professional experience in funding arts education. I currently assist PFLAG NYC in its fundraising for LGBTQ+ programs.
Digital Content & Grant Writing
Sarah Beling
Sarah is a New York City-based writer and theater artist from the nebulous Greater Boston area. Enamored at a young age with storytelling, Sarah tortured her family and friends throughout the 90s with re-worked revivals of classics like The Wizard of Oz and Annie before moving to New York, attending NYU Tisch, throwing out all of her clothing that wasn’t black, and developing a passion for bodega breakfast sandwiches. In addition to writing plays that range from psychological thriller to 80s musical parody, Sarah works as a freelance writer and editor across print and digital mediums as well as a grant writer partnering with nonprofit organizations to share their stories.
